Charbonniers

In a strange landscape of the Greek mountain, marked by the furnaces, where dust and fumes veil the light, charcoal burners and their families, sometimes from far away, burn wood to make charcoal. They rent out, in a way, their work to a contractor during the five to six months of the summer.
